Want a easy way to add witches to your haunt?? Well look no further cuz you just found some great ideas!

  • Make yard boys and dress them in witch costume and either paint a witch face on a styrofoam head or put a mask on one to get your witches.(click here to goto "yard boys" page) *Also see picture at bottom of page*

  • Use a plastic cauldren and put dry ice in it to make fog (NEVER TOUCH DRY ICE!!!! USE GLOVES!!!) or use a fog machine inside or run a tube into the bottom of cauldren.

  • Movement- this is an idea I have been kicking around for awile, try placing an old record player into the bottom of a cauldren and plug it in, then get a round wooden dowl about 4' long and secure it to the "witches" hands and to the moving top part of the record player. It would make it look as if the witch was stirring the "brew" in the cauldren!

  • Cave- use chicken wire to make a "cave shape" large enough to place your witches, cauldren, other props, body parts, books, candelabras, and maybe a table inside. Then either paper mache the outside to get your main shape and then spray it with spray foam (either for crafts or automotive) to create a realistic cave look. When dry you could spray paint the foam with brown, grey, black, white, and red colors. And presto an instant covered, isolated scene!!!

  • Classic- the best is to have someone in costume!!! *See picture below*

The picture on the left is one of my friends in costume. The picture on the right is the "yard boys" I dressed in costume, and the witch on the left is the styrofoam head I painted. This scene looked great with a strobe light, fan, dry ice in cauldren and a blacklight.
