One of the collist things to use when making props or anything for halloween displays/decorating is sprayfoam like "good stuff". Just make sure to NOT get it on your skin!
Here are soome props and other things that I have created by using spray foam....
* Skull Tower
- I took chicken wire and cut a 5' wide x 6' tall section and rolled it up and tied the overlapping edges together with wire (so it wouldn't come apart). Stood it upwards, put a plastic sheet underneath it (to protect the driveway), then taking a few skulls and bones I placed them where I liked them and attached them to the chicken wire with wire (twist ties from garbage bags will work if you have enough of them), once you have this done you can spray the spray faom "good stuff" all over the chicken wire and around your bones and skulls. You will naturally end up with gaps all over, this is ok you want to have these!! When dry spray paint what ever colors you like, then by using a old lamp fixture and a colored light bulb place in the center of your tower (I use a red bulb) and the results are awsome!!
* Guts
- Make a dummy made of old clothes stuffed with newspapers then, at the ends where a head, arms, or legs would be or by making a cut into the clothes of your dummy spray some spray foam from the center outward, when dry paint red. Presto instant guts!
* Hands
- As seen on "Twisted Visions" web site take a coat hanger or pieces of wire and cut into strips as long as you want the hand and fingers to be. Then tape the wires together to make the shape of an arm with fingers. Then slowly spray the spray foam over the wire and let dry. When dry take a file and a exacto knife and cut the foam down then file to get the fingers to the right size and detail you want! Use these popping out of the ground in the cemetery or with yardboys. Try haning them out of a coffin, as you can see there are many uses for these.
* Heads
- Blow up a regular round 12" balloon, then spray foam "good stuff" on it and let dry, then use and exacto knife and a file to shape it into a scary face you want.
* Body
- You can also shape chicken wire into a body shape and spray the spray foam all over it to get a very unique, textured, or gross body for what ever monster you are thinking about making.
